This painting, is of a typical fishing cove in Fogo Newfoundland Canada. The typical fishing buildings are mostly painted red and are set off by the pristine Atlantic ocean waters that surround the island. These fishing scenes are a hold over that has often disappeared from the rest of the maritime coast.
Brent Arlitt resides in downtown Toronto, and enjoys seeing the endless possibilities for conveying the wonder and joy of being into his paintings. Brent has always had a keen interest in art and photography. In the past few years, he has participated in a number of courses and workshops in oil painting, watercolour and acrylics. Some of his most enjoyable painting experiences have involved pleine air painting at locations such as Grand Manan Island NB, Jekyll Island GA, Haliburton ON, Thornbury ON, in the City of Toronto, and numerous other locations.
