I was inspired this summer to paint this century old opera house in Picton Ontario because of its authentic Edwardian style and its inviting nature, At night the marquee lights cast a warm glow onto the building, sidewalk and street that invites patrons in for a wide variety of entertainment, In the lobby relief images of the Muses and the original pressed tin ceiling add to the authenticity of this 100 year old building. The stage tower allows quick change of backdrops for authentic experiences

Brent Arlitt resides in downtown Toronto, and enjoys seeing the endless possibilities for conveying the wonder and joy of being into his paintings. Brent has always had a keen interest in art and photography. In the past few years, he has participated in a number of courses and workshops in oil painting, watercolour and acrylics. Some of his most enjoyable painting experiences have involved pleine air painting at locations such as Grand Manan Island NB, Jekyll Island GA, Haliburton ON, Thornbury ON, in the City of Toronto, and numerous other locations.
