This scene is of Henningsvaer Norway in the Lofoten islands above the arctic circle. On this sunny day in June dramatic streaming clouds coursed across the sky over brightly painted houses. Each element of the picture stood out because of the contrasts and the remote location of this beautiful town.
Brent Arlitt resides in downtown Toronto, and enjoys seeing the endless possibilities for conveying the wonder and joy of being into his paintings. Brent has always had a keen interest in art and photography. In the past few years, he has participated in a number of courses and workshops in oil painting, watercolour and acrylics. Some of his most enjoyable painting experiences have involved pleine air painting at locations such as Grand Manan Island NB, Jekyll Island GA, Haliburton ON, Thornbury ON, in the City of Toronto, and numerous other locations.
