This scene depicts the Christmas market at the Distillery District in old downtown Toronto. The golden orange glow from the shops illuminates the shoppers and the snow, this light contrasts with the blue purple of the snow shadows.

Brent Arlitt resides in downtown Toronto, and enjoys seeing the endless possibilities for conveying the wonder and joy of being into his paintings. Brent has always had a keen interest in art and photography. In the past few years, he has participated in a number of courses and workshops in oil painting, watercolour and acrylics.
