This scene is an unusual view of a narrow back lane between two rows of stores in Kensington Market in Toronto. this early morning view shows how the residents use their porches and entranceways to store everything, from bicycles to canoes, plants and garbage bins. The variety of colours and objects in this confined lane in the sunshine caught my attention and imagination.
Brent Arlitt resides in downtown Toronto, and enjoys seeing the endless possibilities for conveying the wonder and joy of being into his paintings.
