On a trip to Hanlon's Point in 2012, I saw the tugboat Ned Hanlon on blocks near the ferry dock. I was inspired to sketch and photograph it, then using a historic B&W photo from 1956, I painted this painting.
Brent Arlitt resides in downtown Toronto, and enjoys seeing the endless possibilities for conveying the wonder and joy of being into his paintings. Brent has always had a keen interest in art and photography. In the past few years, he has participated in a number of courses and workshops in oil painting, watercolour and acrylics.
