On a sunny afternoon in Trinity Bay, Newfoundland, we came around a bend on a Cliffside road to Salmon Cove. The intermittent clouds created fleeting shadows across the cliffs and beautiful sand beach scene. Local residents had gathered in a group to enjoy each others company and the warm afternoon sun. The breathtakingly beautiful scene warranted a number of paintings to catch the mood of this almost surreal scene.
Brent Arlitt resides in downtown Toronto, and enjoys seeing the endless possibilities for conveying the wonder and joy of being into his paintings. Brent has always had a keen interest in art and photography. In the past few years, he has participated in a number of courses and workshops in oil painting, watercolour and acrylics. Some of his most enjoyable painting experiences have involved pleine air painting at locations such as Grand Manan Island NB, Jekyll Island GA, Haliburton ON, Thornbury ON, in the City of Toronto, and numerous other locations.
